National Mother of the Year
Formal ceremony, Thailand
Portfolio/National Mother of the Year
I was asked to sing at the congratulations ceremony for National Mother of the Year. The hall was all white flowers, glass light, and banquet tables. Not a club. Not a festival. A room that had dressed up to thank one person for raising a life.
I stood in a tan dress with a microphone and a full band behind me: guitars, bass, keys, drums. We played the set while phones came up from the tables and the floral arch sat quiet in the back. The job was simple and heavy at the same time. Make the congratulations feel like a song, not a speech.
These photos are from that afternoon. The band in suits. The cables on the wooden stage. The moment after, when someone handed me a small box of sweets and we finally looked at the camera. I keep this work in the portfolio because it is the other side of what I do: the same voice, used for honor instead of volume.
From the day
